Avoid These Three Mistakes With Your Website Copy and Hero Section Design
Takeaways from reviewing five Belgian fintech startups
This week I reviewed five websites from Belgian fintech startups.
For each website, I highlight five things that stand out. Mostly, these are issues. Sometimes, they’re a good example to follow.
In this post, I’ll discuss the three main takeaways from this week. (I’ll link to a few similar posts from the past at the bottom).
1. Make sure your button copy sets the right expectations
❌ On one website, one button said “get a demo”, and the other one said “request a demo”. Do you see the problem?
Is everyone getting one? Or are you reviewing the applications first?
In another example, website visitors were offered a tool, which led to a login window…
✅ A good button tells you exactly what’s going to happen. For example, “explore the tool”, like Rock.estate. But when you say this, make sure that’s exactly what your website visitor will be able to do.
